If going early in June, I would stay Kuta first (before the Schoolies) then a trip to UBUD for the next part and Semiyak for the last bit. My idea would be 6 or 7 in Kuta then Ubud to relax. If you have forgotten anything that you can't get in Ubud a day trip to Kuta would suffice. It would not be my cup of tea as I hate packing etc.
As for Hotels I make no suggestion as I have never travelled with children
