Credit card needed for food

I have flown Virgin several times both within Oz & to & from Bali - my recollection is that if you want to buy food &/or drinks you can ONLY pay by credit card - not cash.

Never had any probs with Virgin. Haven't used Virgin for Perth-Bali since AA started.
