Reviews on everything are so individual and can be influenced by the most trivial to the most outrageous things. A great idea is to go back and read reviews of places you have stayed before and see if you agree or not.
I have just read a review on TA of a beautiful hotel that we have seen for ourselves and a review said NEVER AGAIN,SHOCKING,TERRIBLE etc. Turns out the airport transfer wasnt big enough to fit all the guests and luggage in together so they did 2 trips to the airport.NOTHING AT ALL about the stay at the hotel.
Its the same as JBRs, after you read alot of posts you soon realise who's tastes are similar to yours and then can go by their shopping,restaurant lists and know you will agree with there choices.
