We have done the large photo books of 2 recent trips to the states and 2 to Bali with grandkids.
There are a lot of companies who say they do them, but these are valuable family documents that will probably be around for many years so, in our experience, it is best to go for the best quality and pay that little extra.
Depending on what size photo book you want to prepare, prices vary greatly.
I think Momento was around $400 a book, but awesome quality.
The only people who do the extra large books ( 150 large pages ) appears to be Momento from Sydney.
We have done several books thru them and have had no trouble at all...very easy to do online once you understand the software, which is provided free, and quality is superb....magazine like, in fact.
They even enhance your poor quality pics so they appear professional.
We have tried others..Harvey Norman's software was a joke..it kept freezing on us, but it may have been us to be fair.
They are a lot cheaper, but do not do the extra large sizes.
There are a few others online, but we tried Momento, and although we felt they were a little expensive, it was well worth the extra.
We spoke to many different people before we committed to Momento, and only had good feedback about them.
Dont know if anyone in Bali does this as yet, but our experience with anything done in Bali, is...you get what you pay for and often, far less...we would certainly want to see references and speak to satisfied customers before buying there.
With something as important as a good quality photobook, we recommend you look around, there may well be better than who we went thru, and certainly cheaper, but we would never cut corners...it is simply not worth it.
hope that helps
