Having never stayed down this end of kuta, we took the advise of forumites who recommended this place as being good for families - I think a lot of others took the advice and took their kids, it is certainly family friendly.
We arrived here after staying in nusa dua at the inna putri hotel. Nusa dua is full to the brim with Russians! And some Chinese, we were told that nusa dua doesn't have many Japanese tourist anymore and is a favourite with the russkies. They are a serious lot and find it nearly impossible to crack a smile, the Balinese were telling us that kuta is for the Aussies and will never succumb to the Russians. Funny though that the Russian children look like little Aussies maybe when they reach puberty they lose the ability to smile.
Backto the point of the message, we arrived to the sound of mostly Aussies splashing in the pool nearly everyone in bintang singlets, we went straight away and got the ausssie bali uniform in various colours for 25,000 each. after checking in we were thrilled to see we were on the ground level near enough to the pool and all together, something the hotel said they couldn't do.
The rooms were a good size and we were happy to see a flat screen tv with English speaking channels. Took a photo of the towel elephant on the bed and master 5 came running in saying he was going to sleep with his ( it wasn't too sturdy and he woke up with a towel).
The pool is clean and is a Decent size, the lounges newish and in good condition and the pool rules appear to be followed by the guests. We had breakfast, it was average but plenty of it. Much better than inna putri though will have to do a report about that hotel soon. Had dinner here as well, miss 16 and 11 months loved the strawberry purée but I was not too impressed by the burger. We probably won't eat here again which is a shame. Tonight I went and had a meal at the boardwalk and was very impressed, similar cost to febri's but far superior so will go there again.
Miss 16 and mister 19 have been disappointed that the towel creatures have not been made for their room. Will put a note up, poor babies are still kids at heart.
The ground floor rooms near the pool mean a sleep in is out of the question, kids make noise so can't complain, even if our master 5 sleeps like a bear. We chose this hotel because it's family friendly and it definitely is.
The curtains could be block out, really my only complaint about the room itself. The bathroom is clean, there is a small windowless window in there so it is hot compared to the rest of the room. Bed is comfortable, sheets clean, as compared to inna putri. Shame we don't want to use the towel creature. So it's drip dry for us :)
The hotel has a good vibe about it, I would prefer a location closer to legian I like to be near poppies lane but would stay here again with kids. Staff are friendly of course we are in Bali.
Had a massage here, squirmed like a worm on a hook, wish they didn't have a water feature when I needed to go to the bathroom! Massage was very relaxing in the most part.
So thumbs up for febri's for families, I wouldn't stay here for a romantic getaway though.
