I wake up at 5.30am in anticipation of our last day in Bali (well until next time!). It is dark & still raining so instead of sitting out on the terrace with my morning coffee, I sit in bed & post my HNR on the BTF :-) I plan on catching up on a couple of days worth but the RP 20,000 for 75 mins Wi-fi voucher runs out before I get the chance.

One thing I'll say about the Risata is that they sting you for all the "extras" every chance they get! I am put off staying there again for that reason alone, although I like the resort itself & it's a nice quiet location still within easy reach of everything you need.

After breakfast I head to reception to arrange our afternoon transfer to the airport. "50,000" they tell me. "No" I reply "we get free transfers in our package". After a lot of to-ing & fro-ing they agree we get our free transfer (I made a point of reminding them that we didn't get a transfer to the hotel in the first place).

I also phone the Balisari Spa Centre (just down the road from the hotel) and book a 2.5 hour package for a massage & facial. Once hubby returns from the ATM and collecting the washing (he informs he is disappointed with the washing - "why?" I ask - "because it doesn't smell!" is his reply)
I head off for some pampering.

The Spa Centre is like the tardus - it looks small from the front but is actually huge! I've since discovered that it used to be a hotel & has been revamped into a Spa and training centre. The first room (for the massage) is OK, but has no air-con. Lucky it's a wet & cool day! The massage is only OK too - but I'm not complaining LOL.

Then I move into a 2nd room for my 90 min facial. Love, love, love it! It is SO relaxing & my skin feels amazing afterwards. I actually fell asleep during the facial massage (woke myself up with a little snore/snort LOL). They use quality products (Biokos & Martha Tillar) and use steam & impurity extractors. Highly recommend it.

On the way out I book hubby in for a 90 min aromatherapy facial after lunch.

I've arranged to meet him & Miss 5 at the De Bali cafe where we had lunch a couple of days ago. The food is still great & still the cheapest meals & Bintangs of the trip. It is a great little place & it does a steady business. I have a tradition of having sate for my first & last meals so that's what I had. Hubby had chicken mie goreng & then enviously eyed off another customer's seafood platter (it DID look delicious!). Miss 5 had the chicken "nuggets" - nice pieces of crumbed breast, not the frozen rubbish :-) I had a beer, hubby & Miss 5 juice. Total bill was about RP 130,000

After lunch hubby heads off for his facial & I take Miss 5 back to the hotel to finish packing. Although I don't think I've bought that much, I am having trouble fitting everything in LOL. After some artful re-arranging I manage to squeeze it all in.

Hubby comes back & all he can say is "Wow! Feel my skin, it's like a baby's bum!" "I fell asleep" he also tells me. That girl at the spa must be thinking "like husband, like wife" :-)

3.30pm comes around sooner than you know it & we head off for the airport. It takes next to no time to get there from the Risata so we are checked-in & through Immigration with plenty of time to spare.

We have a pre-flight meal at Fukutaro Japanese restaurant (near Gate 2 where we are departing from). We've eaten here before & the food is as good as ever (if a little expensive). It still beats paying good money for crap food on the plane though!

Boarding is completed a little early & the pilot informs us we will arrive in Perth after 3 hour, 15 min flying time. We have an uneventful flight & are back to what Miss 5 calls "our sweet home" after a bit of a long wait to get through Perth customs.

Now I need to start planning the next trip - I have an unused flight credit so that means I HAVE to go back within the next 12 months :-)
