As the owner of a business that has reviews on TA I think that sometimes people read positive reviews and set their expectations accordingly. We generally have very good reviews but we are a budget accommodation and for people used to paying the same rate for less we are probably very good and they are happy. But if someone just booked based on the TA reviews only and maybe we expecting more of a hotel than a backpacker place they may well be disappointed. TA should be used in conjunction with the property's website and any other info available.
