Some claims attract the $100 excess (ie medical, loss of travel documents). We had a claim in June following travel delays caused by the ash cloud. We didn't have to pay any excess. 1Cover were absolutely awesome - kept in touch with us while we were stranded and the claim forms were sent to our email before we got home. Hope this helps
