If you are worried about people stealing from your luggage, there is not much you can do to stop them, thieves have ways of opening most suitcases from the side of the zipper. Most locks wont protect against this.
Best bet is to get 2 luggage straps and put one across the outside of the bag and the other length ways and have your contents in a big plastic bag inside your luggage. If tampered with you will know instantly. The straps will help to identify the bag
