Ok guys....I will never again book a holiday for the end of the year in March!! I have zealously soaked up all the news from Paradise on a daily basis, watched friends visit and return with wonderful stories,and patiently studied the calendar as the months turned to weeks and now days!!
Fourth trip in 3 years departing 30th Dec, was to be with our son and his partner but an unplanned addition to their family means it is only the old fella and myself.(Bub overdue,their first.I bet she will arrive on the 30th so her Mum will be in the labour ward and not the Garuda Lounge on that day!!)
So,to the point of my posting today.....I asked for advice re villa accommodation in Legian.Forumites responded and after much scrutiny I took your advice and booked one which was recommended.Can I say that contact with the owner has been efficient and friendly and she has even said that we can have the villa for the whole of the last day (12pm flight home) for no extra charge.Bagus!!
I needed advice re having a "Mother of the Bride"outfit made....again you responded. I have contacted a tailor, I have just received another email from her confirming my arrival details and I asked where I can find her.She just replied "It much BUTTER if I come to you" I laughed.
I sought more advise re prescription glasses.Thanks George from Perth, I'll tell them you sent me!
The list goes on...I have read your JBR's and marked on a local map your fave restaurants and bars.We are creatures of habit and whilst we will return to our favourite haunts I am determined to explore the area thru Padma Utara ,Werkadura, Garlic Lane etc.We usually stay more toward Seminyak,but we love the area around Double Six Street and are really excited about staying there.
I am yet to visit Ketuts fixed price shop.Thanks for the directions and I am determined to visit Biku this time for sure.Other than that we are looking forward to just chilling from our hectic lives.No long touristy trecks this time.We will be so content to just be back.
Confirmation has also just come through via email for our NYE restaurant booking.(Yep,you guys again,walking distance due to traffic chaos!)
So thanks so much for sharing your ideas and advice.I would be lost without this forum.Bali seems a long way off some days and the joy you share and the memories you bring back to me are truly special.
Cant wait for that feeling when I walk into Denpasar airport.
