The best and most famous Babi Guling in Ubud is Ibu Oka which is across the road from the Palace. Not sure if it's the sort of place you have in mind for a christmas lunch.
The Warung is very busy with tourists and from my experince as soon as someone gets up from a table you dive for a seat and your sharing a table with others.
At the front there are normal tables and inside the main pavilion there are traditional squat/cross legged tables.
They do have another resturant in Ubud but I have never been, someone else may comment on that one and I beleive they have open up a third spot.
It's where they cook the Babi Guling at a family compond. When I was there in June 2010 on my second visit to Ibu Oka and after seeing the Rick Stien episode on Bali , I thought try and find it, I just followed the smoke. It's is up a small gang on the right just behind the palace. There was some contruction going on so i figure thats what it will be.
