A lot of drivers use the opportunity to catch up with mates in places like Ubud etc.. so are unlikely to want to come along, but if you feel inclined, an offer of lunch and a cold drink will be appreciated, it all depends on the language issues. I have had some drivers show me the area like Tanah Lot or the Monkey forest and have had them help with some purchases along the way especially the fruit markets. Had lunch with some too -they are a lovely people as a whole and you may make a new friend.
