I would have no hesitation recommending Sanur Beach Villa's if the poster was seeking advice about Sanur, but seeing as how the request was for the Kuta/ Legian area (Vilarisi)and the poster is female travelling alone I would recommend the usual hotel I plug and that is the Masa Inn in Poppies1.
The Masa is clean, safe, centrally located, CCTV through out the grounds as well as the normal 24 hr security, 60 tv channels, approx. 80 air condition rooms, 2 pools, 300,000Rp a night and owned and operated by a very nice Balinese family.
But then again if you had been taking any notice of uncle Gary's posts you would already know that.
By the way Bells Pallsy did it occur to you that maybe the reason Bali forums seem quiet is that perhaps the posters are avoiding you :)
