NZ- best times to book Jul

Missed out on A/A fares ex Ch-Ch of $1000 return!! about a month ago ..
there one day gone the next... Anyone got idea of when Jetstar or A/A have anymore specials available?? Can book now but its $1400 return!!
Going for 6 weeks so should I just suck it up and book now .. Thanks for any advice.. Cheers Kevin
