There are many very responsible and caring places that need help including those you listed.
Ed Butler's article was to show the side to be cautious of.
He did a lot of research and travelled to many places throughout Bali to ensure that what he wrote was not just based on sensationalism. These places really do exist, but so do many, many good ones.
