Very pleasant then with lovely gardens and in a great location on the beach but 3 years can be a long time & I don't know how well it's been maintained. From memory it was about a 15 minute walk along the beach to the Medewi break, which was pushing through some nice 5-footers, even though there appeared to be hardly any swell at the time. There were more downmarket places close to the break.
