wearing uniforms as they all have scams of various kinds going.
A few years back the police ( Intel) scam was that if you had a web site you were working in Indonesia without a work permit. World Wide Web, didn't mean anything to them. They came to my house, confiscated my passport, itself illegal, and invited me to Central Police for interrogation which got heavier and heavier as time went on. The crunch came when the bad cop screamed at me that I was in big, big trouble.
Before the interrogatian started I informed them that I had heart disease and showed them my bypass scar, so now was obviously time to pull a bunny out of the hat.
Made myself go red in the face and feigned a heart attack - backed up by my main man as had told him this was my plan if things turned ugly.
This had them back pedalling real quick as dead foreigners who haven't actually done anything are hard to explain away. Suddenly I wasn't in trouble any more and was free to go.
Had to pay 3 mill to get my passport back though, so all was not lost as far as Intel was concerned.
