the spa is worth a visit even just for the spa, sauna and steam room with a plunge pool, the stone carvings throughout are incredible, we also did a treatment with flower bath overlooking the river it was wonderful, the restaurant was ok a little pricey, it is about a 15 min walk into ubud and 5 min walk the other way to Bintang supermarket, If you are going to do rafting, Bali zoo or Bali buggys great to do from Ubud heaps less travel time and if wanting to go to Safari Park good to do on the way up or on the way back. Our favourite restaurant on Monkey Forrest road is Ibu (something) but is quite easy to spot as it is very Pink and purple and at night lots of little fairy lights, Three Monkeys is lovely but again for Bali a little pricey. We loved our stay here, hope you have a great trip.
