it's like a natural "filter" that keeps non believers and the gullible ones away, and keeps numbers to at least mostly manageable levels.
Bad news sells and good news does not....it's a fact of life.
There was recently a negative campaign driven by business people in the SW (Margaret River etc)but it's all to no avail.
True believers keep going to Bali, and for every one, there's another four who are influenced and enticed.
Maybe it's true that there's no such thing as bad publicity?
And as for "truth in journalism"......forget it.
