My Wife and I will be in Bali this December, we're from Switzerland and we've been to Bali several time but this time we would like to do some furniture shopping.
She's expecting our first child and we're in the middle of reorganizing our house, which includes replacing a good part of our old furniture's but also getting things for the baby.
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience doing that, first thing is Asian style furniture is not really our thing, we like modern and minimalistic design, we do however love natural wood, especially exotic ones so I was wondering if anyone has places to recommend, we will be one week in Lombok, one in Ubud and one in Kuta, we have no problem hiring a driver if a place is worth it.
Then the most important part is shipping, we're in no rush so it can take several weeks that's not a problem, I was more wondering about the costs, insurance and delivery, if anyone has experience with this please share, especially since you're in Europe but I guess it must be fairly common for Australian to buy so feel free to share your good or bad experience.
