that I am even more pleased now than I was before the show (and I was already pretty pleased) that her Mum and I are accompanying my schoolie granddaughter and staying at the same hotel which is going to be half full of her friends. Also very relieved that her big brother and partner will be going out at night with her. I think she is pretty happy about that bit at least because for a while there it looked like her Mum or I would be doing escort duty at night which would have been sooooo embarrassing!
Before her brother decided to come I was thinking about paying a trusted local friend to escort her as a sort of security guard because it would be less embarrassing than either of us and let's be honest I need a night in a Kuta nightclub like I need a hole in the head.
In my ideal world she would not be going at all and certainly not going out at night but it is not an ideal world so this has been our family's way of doing the best we can with reality.
