around 40% of the prostitutes (most commonly used by locals) in Bali are HIV positive, and its due to the men not wearing condoms, going home to the wife, passing it on (possibly to her boyfriend) and on it goes.
but getting back to the schoolies - yes, they are naughty, yes they get drunk, yes they play up. but who of anyone on this forum didnt? jeez, i was 18 once, and i can tell you i certainly played up.
many of the hotels are making the schoolies sign a waiver saying that if they play and disrupt the hotel too much, they are out on the behinds. and fair enough i say.
every year when schoolies come to bali, i end up visiting so many of them in hospital due to alcohol related illnesses, falling over and breaking bones etc (its my job). i hope this year the accident rate decreases instead of increases for a change.
