We've just left and stayed in all the rooms mentioned above and I can recommend room 102 and 105 but suggest you stay away from room 109 or the one above it, room 110. Both these rooms (109 & 110) are in the smallest block on their own near the pool between the massage pavillion and the little pond/fountain. They have a permanent resident rat family that come out when we leave and munch on any snack packages in our room/luggage. They also come out at night when we quiet down for the night and twice I've seen/felt them scurry over the bed (while I'm in it!)

This happened last time I was here and this time too, so we switched rooms to the other side of the pool and rooms 102, 101 and 105 have been fine. It seems they get access to those 2 rooms in a tiny block on their own in the opposite side with the fountain/pond next to it on the left and the massage pavillion on the other side.

I've also seen them tightrope walking (realllly fast - they're very talented!) on the electric cable to room 110 from my room 106 and also saw them doing that from the second floor room above (I think it's 107?) and they have access that way, too, it seems.

I'm guessing the rat family lives in 109 and 110 because these are the only two rooms I've ever encountered them in and let me tell you they are not shy! One stuck it's head up from the loose drainhole in the bathroom floor while I was showering and it was not the least perturbed when I screamed blue murder - it didn't even flinch!

anyway, don;t let that put you off - the Kusnadi is a lovely hotel, this is the 4th year I've stayed here - just make sure when you book that you stay away from room 109 and 110. They keep trying to get rid of them in those 2 rooms but I think they're pretty entrenched with several generations having lived there. I've never seen them in any of the other rooms I've stayed in. Enjoy your trip - weather has been divine!
