You might be picking up school holidays, not sure? Try mucking around with the return dates to come back before 30th June? Search with 3 days either side using directflights dot com dot au. I just did a search for you SYD-DNP 18/6/12 return 2/7/12 on that site and got $735 each person they are not direct flights though. Also try zuji dot com. Just keep trying different days and different combinations. Or wait and hope that sale does come in a few weeks. Good luck.
