As long as they don't turn 2 while you are away you only have to pay 10% of the fare, as mentioned you also get baggage allowance and a infant meal which consists of Heinz baby food. But take your own milk and customs/security are really good when travelling with a baby they are very relaxed on the liquid rules. Depending on their weight also you may be able to get the bassinet if you book in advance.
We have travelled to Bali numerous times on garuda, jetstar and virgin and Garuda are definately the best when travelling with children/infants.
