I was looking a garuda prices one week syd/dps was $600 next week was $1000 then back down to $600 2 weeks later so I suggest you keep checking. I am flying jetstar and needed a flight for my girlfriend who is now coming with me. I waited till garuda was showing flights at $600 for same day as I am flying, then rang jetstar, they have a policy they will beat any flight by 10% so got it including luggage for $540. Lucky girlfriend as I paid $700 for mine...
