I went to the safari park 3 days ago. IMHO the rides weren't that good. You can pay after you go in if you like, that way you can judge the mood of the kids after they have walked around the park.

There is one carousel, and a shaking jerking type ride that my kids went on once and then refused to go on again because my daughter hit her head on a pole.. There is a water log ride that the three of us went on, but the fetid sinking water that we got splashed with made me gag!

There is a lazy river ride which was the most sedate and slow, it was a boat IDE around a set path which went thru a small enclosure with birds, rabbits etc.

They are all the big rides that require tickets, the water park isn't that flash, but after a hot day walking around the safari prk, it looks like an oasis.

We got the rhino package, and if I went again I wouldn't bother with it. The lions were asleep at lunchtime when we had the lunch in the flash restaurant, and the lunch itself wasn't that flash.

As I said, just my opinion. The rides and lunch not worth it, but the park itself was great, for the animal interactions.
