Jakarta airport was my only worry about the trip. When you have collected your baggage, you have to go through customs/immigration and then you hand your baggage over to a guy waving his hands around yelling "Bali Bali Bali". He put all the transit baggage in a group. I stayed there until I saw our bags disappear down the shute just to make sure we'd get it at Denpasar.
After going through customs/immigration, you're given a brightly coloured cardboard transit card which you give to a staff member (you need to find them as they don't make it plain they're there to collect them) before moving to your transit area (buy a drink and snack before you get there).
You'll be given a meal on the flight from Jakarta to Denpasar which in itself is amusing because no sooner do they hand out trays then they're collecting them before you've had a chance to finish eating and there's no alcohol on the domestic leg.
