Sanur is great these days.

We always start off there for instant relaxation but I am beginning to think that it is the best place for the end of the stay too because with the traffic congestion in Kuta/Legian/Seminyak it is reliably quicker from Sanur to the airport.

I would recommend either Mangrove Sanctuary (AKA Sanur Beach Villas) in the quieter south or the Ugly Duckling in the heart of Sanur, as you prefer. Both Budget properties but clean, with great owners and we meet so many great people each time we stay.Never thought that I would really make many new friends at my age. Thought I probably had my quota but this has proved not to be the case.
