The fish bite morning and afternoon. My husband runs fishing trips in Lombok.. Lately we have been finding the afternoon trips get a better catch than the morning ones. Hard to predict too much. But locals prefer not to be out in the hot sun which might be why they start so early there. Also at some times the wind comes up in the afternoon but at the moment that is not the case either.
