Any ATM anywhere can have a skimming device added or removed at any time. I've used many ATMs in that vicinity and never had any problem, but that's no guarantee that someone won't tamper with them tomorrow.

And if someone has had a card skimmed, there's no way of knowing exactly which ATM it happened at, so no way to identify 'unsafe' ATMs. Even though they'd be safe again within hours anyway. Skimming devices don't get left on for months at a time. They're usually removed within a few hours of being placed, so as not to be found out.

All you can do is check the machine yourself each time you use it. There used to be videos on Youtube showing how to check. I'm sure they'd still be there if you did a search.
