For many years QBE have been covering me for a pre existing condition ( not spinal surgery), when many other companies refused. I pay a fair bit extra for the cover, but didn't really have a choice. Unfortunately in the last few years they have covered me still but put a whole lot of limitations on the cover. I think this is as I am now over 60. It's better than having no cover at all, though expensive. I doubt if you would get cover if surgery was major & quite recent. Good luck!
