It marks the end of the Galungan celebrations. Galangan is when the families ancestors decend to the family temple & are offered prayers & other offerings. Galungan is also a time to remember the battle of good & evil & Kuningan celebrates the victory of good. Kuningan is 10 days after Galangan which occurs every 210 days (Balinese year).
To most Balinese it is more important than Nyepi. Many will return to their village for a day either side of these dates. This may affect some businesses as employees travel to their villages & family temples.
