taken off me (can't remember if it was at airport in Aus or o/seas) because the bottle size was over 100ml, didn't matter that there was less than 100ml in the bottle, the bottle itself could not be over the 100ml limit. I've many times had them checking out the ml measurement on whatever it is. So I don't think you could take leftover alchohol on board with you if it under 100ml but in a larger, say 750ml bottle.
