Don't worry it was the best/funniest heart attack that I've ever had :D

The turtle eggs on Sanur beach sound pretty special.

I have heard that you can release a turtle at the TCEC but I didn't ask as they seemed so happy there with their friends :)

We just asked our driver to take us there.

Be very careful with the Turtle place to make sure that it is the right one. Our driver rang them once we were on the island.

Here are my notes

* Thank you to the original person who posted this information *

there is only one Turtle Conservation and Education Centre on Bali and that is on Pulau Serangan, ask your hotel to call 0813 3841 2716 for directions, if you arrive at a place that immediately feels wrong and looks cruel, you have been taken to the wrong centre. When on the island, you must drive along the road with the harbour and mangroves on your left, and keep going even when the road turns right away from the boats and buildings. there will be a moat / channel on the seaward side of the road and the centre will be on the other side, with a large turtle statue at the gate.

Most drivers do not know about the TCEC

Drive across the causeway connecting Serangan Island (there is a small charge) turn left and follow the road around and through the village. Keep going until you find a walled compound with a giant Turtle outside the gate.

About 15mins from Sanur

Good luck!
