Recently returned from another Bali fix and now sadly thawing out in sth au.
Went to Dr Rudi, was happy with my dental treatment but could not claim any $$ back. Only checked when I got back so if you are with MBF be aware they only cover treatment in au.
Tried new restaurant Pavone in Legian nice ambience, lots of mirrors, candles, live music baby grand piano and violin ,waitress a bit pushy but only doing her job I guess. My curry was pretty bland but others enjoyed their meals. I had an Arak milkshake and thought it was absolutley fabulous - so had to have another just to make sure!! Glad I didnt know about the lady who had bad arak in Lombok and was hospitalised.
Was there for the earthquake but personaly missed it being on the back of a motorbike. One friend was trampled in a stairwell due to panic and needed hospital treatment and sutures. Carefore looked pretty bad with structural damage but is still open.
Spent most of my time in Seminyak and had my first " High Breakfast" at Biku.Had tried the " Asian high tea" last trip in Aug and the normal high tea previously. Its getting so popular I would recommend you book a table.
Also went to Echo beach and had a barby tea, good pork shaslick and salad. Havent been there before so enjoyed the experience.
Also had a few days in Candi Dasa. Best meal was at Le something on the waterfront opposite the New Queens nightclub - sorry have forgotten the name( its the same owners as Rendevous) There are so many Le restaurants that it should be renamed Le Candi Dasa. Also had breakfast at Bayside villas as I love Brad's breakfast. Also stocked up on natuaral soaps and chocolates from the little village of Jasri thanks to advice from someones previous jbr( thanks for the info )
Well thats about it, hope its helpfull to someone.
