Hi, I've previously taken over clothing donations to Smudge from the forum. I arranged with him to collect them from me in Legian which he was happy to do. It was mainly boys clothing from 0 - 2 yrs but I think they are probably able to take other items as well. You are able to contact him via email if you need further info.

I have also just started sponsering a lad thru Smudge, a yearly thing which pays for his schooling etc.. I won't be visiting him tho, am happy just to help with his education. They also emailed me his school report.

I do visit an orphanage up in Amlapura which I got to know thru Jerryatric from the forum. I personally go up there because it's a private one and not possible to get the donations there any other way. The first time I took up a heap of donations and food but the last couple of times have actually picked up the carer and taken her grocery shopping at Hardy's in Amlapura as I feel she will then be able to buy exactly what she needs at the time. I'm sure they would appreciate whatever but I feel the money gets spent on what they really need this way. She has 3 kids of her own and also looks after ~32 children.

If you would like either Smudge's or Jerryatric's details I will be happy to pass on. Amlapura is about a 2hr drive from Kuta but it is a nice drive up the coast and can include a stop in Candi Dasa either way for a meal, lovely little town.
