Returned from Lombok 5 weeks ago. We stayed in the Sengiggi Beach area, which is the busy area.( relative to other parts of Lombok !! )
Lots of nice Restuarants along main street. I particulary recommend "The Square" opposite the entrance to Santosa Hotel. The ambiance & Food is 4 Star but the prices are 2 Star. Also the "Happy Cafe" has a band most nights.
We stayed at Santosa but this is a large hotel & I would only recommend the Bungalows not the high rise
