Hello TessB,
I just recently got my 12 month temporary stay visa....
I suggest you do the following;
Apply for a 60 day visa at the Indonesian consulate in Australia (in your capital city), this is approx $60.00 (plus the cost to get passport photos) then come over with all your important documents (originals such as your birth certificate, your wedding certificate, bank statements and also all your husbands important documents).
As soon as you arrive in Bali contact the agent that we used to organise it (Pak Nyoman +623617970720). He orgainsed the letter from Jakarta for us.
He does'nt cost very much more than the temporary stay visa itself and its alot quicker and less hassle, but its very important you come in on the 60 day visa because if you come on the 30 day VOA you are only able to extend that once for 30 days ONLY.
Once you have the letter and all the other documents from Pak Nyoman, you can then fly to Singapore for 12 hours only (on a work day). As soon as you arrive in Singapore you call the agent (number and card supplied by Pak Nyoman)who completes the rest of the application for the temporary visa while you are there. Then you can fly back into Bali on your new visa.
I hope this helps. Good Luck and enjoy your stay =)
