First and foremost don't drink the water, bottled only!
Increase your personal hygiene habits.
Eat in bars and restaurants that are busy.
Ease up on seafood.
Ease up on salads and stick to cooked foods.
Raspberry Syrup of 25%plus kills some stomach bacteria, take a 700 ml bottle of Cascade Raspberry syrup ($5 at Coles and Woolworths) and take 20 ml per day.
Personally I wouldn't worry too about it, just think how well you will feel after you've emptied your bowel:))
