... if you have more & go through the Items to Declare customs station you can take in more provided that you pay "duty". What you pay depends on the amount you have (both in terms of bottles & cash) & the officer on duty.
Friend & I took in one bottle of bubbly (on top of our duty free spirit allowance) & weren't charged anything. Luck of the draw although when the guy asked us how many bottles we had, we said one, meaning one extra. Perhaps he thought we 2 old ducks meant only one bottle between us. We had $10 set aside to pay for any "duty". Anyway, waved through & our other friend very much enjoyed the exey bubbly for her 60th B'day.
I wouldn't try to sneak anything in.
