that a lot of these 'drug pushers' are Police undercover. It is big $$$$ to arrest a foreigner who will usually pay (the bribe) to get themselves out of trouble. (Remember Michele Leslie?)
The $$$ usually go straight into the skyrocket of the policeman or his superiors.
And where do they get the drugs, from the Police of course.
It is one wicked circle.
Indonesia is up there as having one of the most corrupt legal systems in the world.
I hope his family can come up with the $$$ so he doesn't have to stay another night in custody, but since this news is probably worldwide by now, he may be made an example of (enter Schapelle Corby.....)
Drugs are bad kids, even worse in Bali!
Unfortunately this kid is learning one of life's lessons a lot earlier than he should be.
