Friendly Hotel on beer budget

I hope someone can assist. We are looking for a smaller hotel, with a pool & bar and not too far from either North Legian or Seminyak Beaches.
We will be in Bali late August to Early September
After reading TA reviews, the Lokha, Baleka & Puri Raja sound like our style but their rates are well above our budget of under $100AUD per night.
