l wrote to the Indonesian consulate 2 days ago and received there reply today about bringing medication into Bali. My wife has a back injury and is on daily pain killers. We have been to Bali 37 times and only ever took a doctors note and kept all medicines in original packaging and have not had a problem. Once she was asked about the amount she had when leaving Bali at last customs check just before boarding. She started to tell the officer that she had a doctors note but was miss understood by him who thought she said she was a doctor and that was ok, she done up bag said nothing and boardered plane. When last in Bali the wife went to a accupunturist for relief and while there he asked what medication she was on . He was amazed we had never been picked up as a lot of pain killers are banned in Bali even with a note and prescription and as he put it a Australian doctors note in Bali means nothing. The letter we received back today said
