Our hearts are heavy.
Shirley and I returned from Bali on 16th of last month after two months of almost daily contact with this lovely young lady.
Made's ambition was to attend university and undertake a course of hospitality studies.
To help her daughter achieve her goals, Made's mum took in laundry to supplement her income from the salon and we used her service as our contribution to her cause.
Made would pick up our goods with a smile and a big "thank you" and return the clothes, washed and ironed, with another big smile and an equally genuine "thank you" for our help.
We will miss Made's bright smile and cheery greeting as we passed by the salon on many occasions during each day.
It is impossible for Shirley and me to put into words how this sad new has affected us and we hope that Iloh finds comfort in her religion to help her come to terms with this tragedy.
Vale Made.
