We got to the Ayana Resort/Rock Bar about 4.30pm and did line up in the queue for non hotel guests. We only had to wait about 10 minutes though. They take your details when waiting in the queue so as soon as we got off the lift we were ushered to our table.

Shopping- did the usual markets (Melasti Street and Kuta Square). Went to Discovery and Matahari ( a newbie loved it here ad said she should have done all her shopping here instead of the markets!)
A few of the girls went to Tommys (near Padma Hotel) for their leather bags.
We did the Seminyak shops (spread out from Double 6 to eat street) and of course legian street (near the memorial- i love shopping along here and stopping at the bars along the way!
Also I like the little market stalls opposite Bali Dynasty ( the newbies liked Dianne's fixed price store).
Also we all bought some nice jewellery/watches form Bali Bagus?? in Kuta Square (On the same side as Matahari-walking up to KFC)

I'm amazed at the changes in Bali over the years- I love the choices of restaurants now- such good quality. First time to Bali we would only eat at our hotel (Bali Intan Cottages), Bali Aussie and Yani's. Now so many choices- so little time. Still haven't been to Potato Head, Pearl or Sea Circus (which were on my list- next time!!!!)
Not fond of the traffic now- it was shocking- Walked from Bali Dynasty (Tuban) right up to
O-CE_N Outrigger (Seminyak) because the traffic was at a standstill.
Many years ago we would spend time at the beach bars at night in Legian- great to see the return of nights on the beach- Seminyak has some great bars with beanbags in the sand to watch the sunset-just don't forget the mozzie spray!!
