International warranty does not exist with most phone manufactures.
Basic basic basic phones are relatively cheap in Bali and they are all unlocked. Don't even think that can get mono tone screen cheapie any more but the basic phones Call & SMS seamlessly and usually have a flashlight built in. Can get everywhere but tourist precincts more expensive I would be looking at small telephone shops where you see locals topping up to buy a phone. There are a few good one on Jln Kuta Raya just down from bemo corner.
Would buy a cheapy for holiday and get a smart phone back home. Cheap phones are very cheap, expensive phones are very expensive in Bali. Supply and demand.
