usually (or they used to have to) leave Australia every 3 months
They are however allowed to enter/depart Australia on that visa (multiple entry) for a period of 12 months
They will need to check the visa to see if they have multiple entries/can travel on it
Which if that is still the case they may as well purchase the return ticket for 3 months ahead
