The shops close usually the afternoon before, Nyepi, day, Matahari's wasnt open the night before, very quite on the streets. On Nyepi day itself, cant leave the hotels, and no body is on the streets, eat at your hotel, get some movies, swim, actually was very enjoyable. The day after we found most places were still closed but you are allowed out of your hotels. It was actually good fun
