Trip 25th August to 11th September.
Flew Jetstar Melb to Darwin and stayed overnight at Rydges Resort, if you join there priority guest membership it costs you nothing and save about $40.00 on their advertised rates. Flew out next morning AA and was through before the bags were at the carousel. Picked up cheap fares in March. Jetstar $124.00 Melb to Darwin. Darwin to Bali $88.00. Bali ito Melb Virgin $358 US. I was supposed to go with Mrs F but she had changed jobs and could not get holidays, so my daughter Miss 19 volunteered to join me for 10 days a bit of father daughter bonding.
Accommodation: 7 Days Sanur beach Villas or Mangrove Sanctuary.
Well what can I say about this place except that I couldn't have been happier to stay here and would stay again at the blink of an eye. Ron & Irma went out of their way to accommodate myself and Miss 19 had originally only booked 1 room but Ron had a spare room so we both had our own rooms for 4 days and then he managed to find a single bed to put in one of the rooms for our last 3 days. The most pleasant thing about my stay here was the atmosphere of meeting all the other guests that were staying and it was like having one big family here and we made some new friends for life. We also did the bamboo shoots cooking school and it was a great experience and I have since cooked Beef rendang since being home and Mrs F loved it so it was well worth it. Ron even took me and Miss 19 around Sanur so we could get our bearings which was much appreciated and the famous Big Red esky certainly is big and does have icy cold beers. First time I have stayed in Sanur, it is a lot quieter than Legian my usual haunt but I loved it.
Went to the Ducks Nutz a couple of times for the music and cold beer and the food was also good. The best find in Sanur was Café Kesuma ate here about 4 times very cheap and the food was great and the owner Blackie even took a couple of blokes who were staying with us out fishing for 5 hours 700,000 RP and returned with 3 fish. and we also ate at the Cat & the Fiddle a couple of times as well as Massimo, couldn't complain about any of the food we ate while in Sanur.
Robins Place Lumbung.
This is where we usually stay and absolutely enjoyed my time again here.
Mostly ate at my favourites Gosha in Melasti street and the new one in 66, also Yutz in Rum jungle road, Mozzarella in Padma St, also ate at Champs which is the old Flying Piano good food here also and a sports bar. I also ventured down to Eat st and visited Nirvana because I had met Neil trough playing golf with the Raffles group he has happy hour here from 11.00am to 5.00pm Bintangs 10,000 RP, Miss 19 had Watermelon Juice 15,000 RP glad I drink Bintangs.
Played Golf 5 times with the Raffles Group always a good day, met Ridoos from the forum and we had a good laugh.
Bring on January 11th 2012 another 17 days.

Thanks Fanno
